FURNITEST is accredited to carry out the tests of furniture, furniture materials and determination of formaldehyde release. We also may offer furniture safety expertise, furniture certification, external supervision for companies and other services.
We are proud to be the only laboratory in the Baltic region which performance has been regarded as complying with high quality standards raised by Swedish concern IKEA. We have been listed in their list of approved laboratories to determine formaldehyde content and release from wood based panels.
We are also on the list of Steinhoff International Sourcing and Logistics Poland approved laboratories to perform furniture tests and determine formaldehyde content and release.
The company was first established in 1964, now is a familly run business providing a comprehensive knowledge and innovative solutions for the furniture industry.
FURNITEST Furniture Testing Centre has been certified by the National Accreditation Bureau as complying with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and is accredited to carry out the tests of furniture safety, furniture materials and determination of formaldehyde content and release.

Lithuanian National Accreditation Bureau under the Ministry of Economy (LA) is a signatory of the Multilateral Agreements of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) for calibration, testing, inspection, certification of products, persons and management systems.
As LA are signatories to the European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA) Multi-Lateral Agreement (MLA) – then any laboratory accredited by LA should have their results accepted in the European Union.

FURNITEST Furniture Testing Centre celebrated it’s 55th Anniversary in 2019!
Established in 1964, the laboratory was designed to perform the tests according to GOST standardisation system. After three decades it was reorganised into Furniture Testing Centre (1995) and started to perform the tests according to current European EN and International ISO standards. From 2004 till 2012 Furniture Testing Centre was taken over by company Tuvtechnika.
FURNITEST is a Lithuanian capital company since 2012. Experience, knowledge and know-how developed during almost fifty five years of operation make us successfully continue furniture testing activities and also build up new ambitious plans for the future.
